At times, it has also been compared to lemongrass, and there is no wonder why it is found in so many summer perfumes. Arguably the best vetiver fragrance on the market is Sultan Vetiver by Nishane. The reason for this is because it features three expensive and highly sought after varieties of natural vetiver. These varieties are Java vetiver, Haitian vetiver, and bourbon vetiver. The result is a dynamic and resolute aroma that smells earthy, defined, luxurious, and complex. The tonka bean and anise add an appropriate amount of sweetness on top of the leather that possesses a smokiness that mimics the quality of the natural vetiver. Our recreation efforts have revealed that this fragrance in particular is very expensive to manufacture. We did not allow this to be a deterrent, so we have crafted our inspired expression of it, which is called King’s Vetiver.
